You know it's Start of Summer Outdoor Swim Team Season when...
- you find yourself under a roof too small to fit even half of the 60 kids and 8 adults there in the midst of the biweekly thunderstorm
- your dry towel gets used to save the kid who says cold doesn't bother him, but his lips are chattering & blue and his towel is soaked
- the air temperature is a lot lower than that brisk water termpurature for morning practice
- each and every practice you attend has at least one kid who breaks a key part of their swim goggles and asks you to fix it like you fixed one for your kid!
- you get home and have to help your kid clean up after that unclosed shampoo bottle made such a mess in the swim bag
- the hot water stops working at the pool and you have a car full of soaked, cold kids most of whom forgot dry clothes and/or a towel
- your kid's team suit for racing is in great shape, but your kid doesn't fit it anymore and the team has a new style this year so you can't trade with anyone
